For me yoga is not just about poses and stretches. Yoga is so much more and one of the most important things is the breath. During my studies I realised I didn’t know anything about my breath which is with me all day and night, it is even what keeps me alive, so I started to dig deeper in the knowledge of pranayama or breathwork.
I was surprised that when I began to practice conscious breathwork how my body and mind felt during and after the breath techniques or even just being aware of my natural breath. It brought me balance, able to be present in the moment and to connect deeply with myself and my feelings.
I believe that anyone who incorporates conscious breathing and meditation in their daily life will feel all the goods that life can give you. It is the pause that we all need in our busy and stressed lifes.
